This is my Tumblr for following others and reblogging their cool stuff. I like the Beatles and Star Wars and food. Sometimes I post stuff I find, or make (food or art). I'm an illustrator, but I usually don't post my own work here.

Bird Of Poetry of the Day: The raven that inspired Edgar Allan Poe’s well-known narrative poem is now on display at a Free Library of Philadelphia exhibit in honor of Charles Dickens’s 200th birthday.
Dickens? Wha? Well, it seems the raven was actually the Victorian novelist’s pet bird Grip. It was the raven’s brief appearance in Dickens’ Barnaby Rudge which inspired Poe to write his poem: He felt the black bird had been shortchanged.
Upon Dickens’ death in 1870, Grip was stuffed and mounted and now joins a massive collection of the author’s letters, which will also be on display at the library.
